PUBLIC NOTICE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the construction of Batesville Mounds Trail Restoration and Site Cleanup in Batesville, Mississippi will be received by The City of Batesville, herein called the “OWNER”, at Batesville City Hall, 103 College Street, Batesville, MS until 2:00 P.M., Local Time on August 4, 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held.
The project scope includes: The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to remove fallen trees, downed limbs, hanging branches, and other storm-related vegetative debris from the Batesville Mounds Site in Batesville, Mississippi. Work shall include cutting, removal, hauling, and disposal of all debris located along walking trails, around the mounds, and within designated site areas.
Contract time is 60 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $
150.00 will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid.

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the offices of Mendrop Engineering Resources, LLC, 166 Orchard Lane, Madison, MS, Telephone (601) 927-0109, upon payment of $
150.00 for each set, NOT to be refunded. The cost of the contract documents includes standard shipping and handling via USPS First Class Mail or UPS Ground, as well as printing expenses. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents may also be obtained by emailing
cmalouf@mendrop.net and referencing the project name in the subject line.
This procurement will be subject to all applicable sections of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated.
The bidder shall guarantee to hold his bid good and may not withdraw his bid for a period of 90 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
The award, if made, will be made to the party submitting the lowest and best bid deemed most favorable to the Owner. The City of Batesville reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
